
DMAA students Ben Carter, Kerry Perkins and Ed Coleridge stormed the World Dragon Championships to win 5 medals against 200 of the best Dragon style kung fu practitioners from across China, Hong Kong and the US.
Ben won Gold for performing the Dragon style kung fu form known as Ying Jow and silver for performing an advanced staff form called Sei Moon Tiu Da. Kerry won two silver medals, one for Ying Jow and another for performing a Dragon style butterfly knives form. Ed won bronze for his performance of Sam Tung Gor Kiu. Chifai Tang was also awarded a medal for his invaluable contribution as translator.
Alongside several famous Dragon style masters from China and Hong Kong, Sifu Braithwaite also performed the 2 man fighting set, Long Ying Doi Cha with Ben at the start of the proceedings.
The spectacular event, watched by an audience of over 1000+ people and filmed for Chinese TV, was held in Foshan, Guangdong province in China on 12th December 2010.

Sifu Braithwaite was also greatly honoured to be invited as a judge for the competition - the first time ever a non-Chinese person has held this position.
